Guido is an expert on postcolonial literature and film. At our Anglia Ruskin Research Centre for Intercultural and Multilingual Studies (ARRCIMS), he leads projects on postcolonial perspectives, intercultural communication and transcultural developments in narratives of conquest, colonization and migration.

Before taking up his professorial role, Guido was Head of Modern Foreign Languages and Reader in Intercultural Studies at Anglia Ruskin University. He was also Visiting Professor at Seoul University (South Korea, 2013), Bayreuth University and Düsseldorf University (Germany, 2012/2010), and he is co-founder and co-editor of German as a Foreign Language (GFL) and Interdisciplinary Mexico (iMex), the first fully refereed internet journals in Europe for their respective fields.
