Dr Dave Sookhoo's interests include: research methods teaching, care of older people and safeguard, cross-cultural health and illness perspectives, cultural competence, learning styles, health psychology.
Dr Dave Sookhoo has extensive experience in nursing and nurse education, has taught research methods at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has collaborated across disciplines, worked with colleagues in social work and psychology. He has undertaken systematic reviews and aims to be a reviewer for the JBI again. Dr Sookhoo has developed learning packages in research methods and cultural competence/transcultural nursing.
Dave's research interests have developed over the years and the current focus is primarily on the experiences of patients with their illness and recovery to health.

Dave is experienced in teaching small and large groups, skilled in teaching research methods to undergraduate and postgraduate course students and has supervised students in their dissertation work.
