Catherine Coe is an Associate Lecturer in Creative Writing at ARU. She is an editor with 23 years’ experience and has written over 40 books for children. Formerly Senior Commissioning Editor at Hachette, Catherine has been a freelance editor and consultant since 2011.

Background

Catherine’s books for children have sold over a million copies worldwide, including The Blossom Wood and Lucky Bunnies series. She edits for many major and independent publishers and literary agencies; books Catherine has worked on have won a raft of awards including the Carnegie Medal, the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize, the Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Award and the Little Rebels Award.

Passionate about improving diversity and inclusion in the publishing industry, in 2021 Catherine founded All Stories, a non-profit organisation that supports writers from underrepresented groups through mentorships, workshops and other development opportunities.
