Caroline joined Anglia Ruskin after twenty years in criminal justice social work working with adults and juveniles, ten as an operational manager. Her last practice role was Home Office reporting on Serious Further Offence and Serious Case Reviews. Caroline is Practice Educator qualified. Caroline is a qualified Mindfulness-based Teacher with expertise in Addiction Recovery and Mindfulness in Schools.
Before joining Anglia Ruskin University, Caroline founded a social enterprise providing funded mindfulness training to public sector staff and local community groups.
Caroline is a PGR working on her Professional Doctorate in Education, a critical exploration of student social worker understanding on resilience and how this informs teaching. Caroline is an advocate of relationship-based social work informing her acting as regional co-ordinator for the Centre for Social Work Practice (CfSWP). Caroline is interested in social work’s historical links with criminal justice provision.
Caroline contributes to a range of modules on our undergraduate and postgraduate social work courses. She is lead for Practice Placements teaching preparation for practice.
