Background

Angela is a Registered Adult Nurse (NMC) with more than 20 years of NHS experience, specialising in acute and emergency care across assessment units and emergency department settings.

Prior to joining Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), she worked as a Clinical Educator in a busy emergency department, supporting both student nurses and registered healthcare professionals in a fast-paced and demanding clinical environment. Through this role, she developed extensive expertise in clinical education, mentorship, and workforce development.

Angela is passionate about clinical skills education and is committed to preparing the next generation of safe, effective, and compassionate practitioners. She particularly enjoys facilitating simulation-based learning, providing students with opportunities to develop confidence, competence, and clinical decision-making skills in a realistic and supportive environment.

Angela is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), reflecting her commitment to excellence in teaching and learning within higher education.

Teaching

Angela is involved across pre-registration student teaching and clinical skills facilitator. She is the Course Director for the Nursing Degree Apprenticeship programme at ARU Peterborough and supports students in her role as a Personal Development Tutor.
