Andrew is a Chartered Surveyor (FRICS) working in the fields of building and environmental consultancy. Additionally he holds a PgCert in Teaching and Learning and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Andrew joined ARU after a successful career in professional consultancy as Director of Building & Project Consultancy within Savills (UK) Limited.
Andrew's enterprise consultancy technical areas cover all aspects of traditional building surveying which includes defect investigations, neighbour disputes, environmental impact of development, daylight & sunlight assessments, rights of light, party wall and solar overshadowing. His current industry projects include independent project reviews and expert witness consultancy.
He is currently undertaking his doctoral research.

Andrew is a media spokesperson for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) dealing with press enquiries on neighbourly matters, party wall disputes and similar environmental issues linked to development.
He's represented the profession in debates on consumer protection on BBC Radio 4 and various local radio stations, and in print media his quotes and opinions have appeared in both mainstream broadsheets and the professional property sector press.
