Entry requirements

For entry to a Bachelor’s degree (year 1), we will consider the following qualifications:

  • A recognised foundation programme
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma 
  • International Advanced Levels (A Levels)
  • Five CXC (Caribbean Examinations Council) plus A levels or plus Associate Degree or plus Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Exam (CAPE) with 6 CAPE units including two single units, grades 1 - 4.

For entry to a Master’s degree, we will consider the following qualifications:

  • A recognised pre-Masters course
  • 2:2 Bachelors degree from the University of the West Indies

For entry to a research degree, we will consider overseas qualifications equivalent to a UK Master’s degree. Please visit our postgraduate research pages for more information on the application requirements.

For students coming from Cameroon to ARU

For entry to a bachelor’s degree (year 1), we will consider the following qualifications:

  • A recognised foundation programme
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma
  • International Advanced Levels (A Levels)
  • Cameroon GCE Advanced Level at grade C (Anglophone System) - Cameroon Baccalaureat with an overall score of 12-13 (Assez Bien) or above and IELTS (Francophone System)

For entry to a Master’s degree, we will consider the following qualifications:

  • A recognised pre-Masters course
  • Second class lower (2:2) or University of BUEA GPA 2.5 or above
  • Licence (Bachelors Degree) with an overall score of 13 or above
  • Diplôme d'Ingénieur (Assez Bien or above)

For entry to a bachelor’s degree (year 1), we will consider the following qualifications:

  • Senior Certificate with matriculation endorsement and at least 5Cs

  • National Certificate (S1) / Certificate in Technology (CTech) formerly Technikon National Certificate (T1)
