Now in its fourth year, Chelmsford Science Festival has continued to grow and create impactful and engaging events that spark curiosity and excitement about science, for all ages.

Highlights of the 2024 festival included:

• 30+ events including our family weekend
• 15,474 visitors
• 26 schools
• 30+ partners
• 67,000+ visitors to our web pages
• 90% of events were free
• comedy nights, escape rooms, hands-on activities, talks, trails and science shows.

Countdown to 2025

We look forward to welcoming you to Chelmsford Science Festival in October 2025!

The theme for this year's festival is Our AI World: Power and Perils, which we hope will spark important discussions on the rapidly evolving and topical debates surrounding AI. However, while AI will be a significant focus, we also welcome proposals on other topics from science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics disciplines.

The hugely popular weekend family days, including an extended SEN area, will return on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October between 9am-4pm. Family days take place on our campus in Chelmsford.
