What can we do for you?

We provide the complete recruitment service: advertising vacancies, screening candidates and arranging interviews at your location or on one of our campuses.

Temp to Perm

Maybe a temp to perm set up would suit your needs? Hiring a student is cost effective, and lets you see the student in the workplace before you offer them a permanent contract at no additional fee from us (after the qualifying period). By hiring a student you’ll get ahead of other potential employers who might be waiting until the student is available for full time work.

Employment Service

We can handle all your pre-employment checks including Right to Work (checking your candidate has the legal right to work in the UK), payroll, related items such as pensions and all other admin which comes with hiring new staff.

ARU Internship schemes

After the success of our 2021 Internship Scheme, we are very pleased to announce the launch of two new initiatives for 2022 – the ARU Spring and ARU Summer Internship Schemes. Both initiatives are part-funded by ARU giving you the opportunity to get a fresh perspective on the work you do, with innovative views and ideas for specific projects, whilst providing a student with real world work experience and a chance to earn whilst they learn.

  • First 4-6 weeks fully funded by ARU
  • £9.90ph pay rate
  • ARU undergraduate student candidates

  • Starting as soon as March 2022
  • Expressions of interest welcomed immediately
  • Internship Form submission deadline – 18th March 2022

ARU Summer 2022 Internship Scheme

  • 8-12 week term
  • Full time hours (up to 37.5hrs p/wk)
  • First 4-6 weeks fully funded by ARU
  • £9.90ph pay rate
  • ARU undergraduate student candidates
  • Open to all business sectors
  • Starting no later than 4th July 2022
  • Expressions of interest welcomed immediately
  • Internship Form submission deadline – 20th June 2022

Ideas for projects include:

  • Creating a Digital marketing strategy utilising key social media channels and your website
  • Providing IT infrastructure support
  • Undertaking big data research and analysis
  • Medical research


ARU will fund the first 4-6 weeks of an 8-12 week internship term with you, the client covering the cost of the remaining term. To give you a sense of costs:

Prospective weekly cost

  • PT – 20hrs p/wk £314.00 +VAT
  • FT – 37.5hrs p/wk £588.75 +VAT

*Charges include NI contributions, holiday allowance, pension contributions plus a small admin fee. Please note that Agency Worker Regulations apply if the temp is in post beyond 12 weeks at which point, they will need to be paid the same rate and annual leave as a comparable role within the company and therefore the charge may increase.

ARU funding must cease strictly on the 31st July 2022.

What next?

Please complete the ARU Internship Form and return to temps@aru.ac.uk. We will then provide you with a free quote for the internship term which is funded by yourself. Once you’re happy with this we simply require you to sign our terms of business and we can start actively sourcing candidates. Please use multiple forms for multiple internship opportunities.
