Jack in an ambulance, wearing a Student Paramedic T-shirt

Faculty:Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care

School:School of Allied Health

Course: BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science

Hi everyone, my name is Jack and I’m a Paramedic Science student at ARU.

I am from Ireland and moved over in September 2020 in order to study paramedicine in the UK.

The pandemic has made things quite complicated for me to start this journey here in the UK and it’s safe to say my university experience so far has been a little different than I expected, but still just as great.

As well as being a student paramedic, I am also in the process of becoming a dispatch assistant in the emergency operations centre, and I also volunteered as an immuniser for the Covid mass vaccination programme.

As a digital student ambassador for ARU, I hope to share my journey with you through my time at university, and even give an insight of my experience in placement with London Ambulance Service.
