Got no special someone in your life to spend Valentine’s with? That doesn’t mean you need to spend it alone. Grab some of your best friends and celebrate Palentine's Day instead.
Here are a few tips for those of you living near Cambridge.
Top restaurants and venues on a student budget.
The vegan fast food chain Doppelganger is perfect if you’re continuing Veganuary onto Valentine’s Day, or want to try something different. Casual and not-too-romantic dining.
Or try Brewdog, a trendy bar serving both food and Brewdog's iconic beer within the city. An ideal location for a chilled evening with a group of friends.
Smokeworks is a quirky restaurant serving smoked and BBQ food accompanied with beers and milkshakes. A great venue for an evening catching up with flatmates.
For a perfect pudding trip, Jack's Gelato has so many varieties of ice cream and sorbets, with a little space to sit inside. Or walk down to the river to enjoy!
If you’re feeling like a night out is the way to go for your Valentine’s Day, Revolution is one of the best nights out in Cambridge and the perfect location for a Palentine’s knees-up.
Most picturesque places to get amazing photos.
King's College is always the ideal place for a photoshoot, especially if there’s someone around to take a group photo for you! #instaworthy
Spending Valentine’s Day at your flat/house with friends? Get your PJs and a good film on, and take some pics to remember the moment.
Prettiest spots to relax or go for a walk.
There’s only one place to go walking in Cambridge and that’s by the river. Even if you don’t want to go for a romantic walk, get some fresh air and enjoy the beauty of Cambridge!
Best places to shop for gifts for your besties.
Want to get your friends a little something in celebration of Valentine’s Day? Typo is such a good option for stationery, and who doesn’t love stationery?
Thanks to business students Emma, Nick and Alessia for writing this alternative Valentine's Day guide. (And if you're heading back to Jack's Gelato soon, mine's a tub of salted caramel...)
