Faculty:Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

Hi, I’m the Student Engagement Manager for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences and work with our students from Welcome to Graduation. In this continuously changing environment my work is both challenging and very rewarding. As the aim of my role is to help improve faculty student satisfaction, I get to work closely with our wonderful students. I also look to Anglia Learning & Teaching objectives to help students engage with University life and study, for example in running a peer-to-peer Buddy scheme for our faculty, for which I received a Vice Chancellor’s Award in 2017. I shared my experience with other staff at the Leaders in Learning and Teaching (LiLT) workshop we ran last year and with the ALT Study Buddy project.  I have a degree in Study of Art and Philosophy and an MA in Arts Management, which I completed whilst working at ARU, focusing my dissertation on Student Experience and Extra-Curricular Arts.

With a keen interest in arts and culture, I previously worked in galleries and as an arts consultant. My interest in the arts has continued and I love drawing in my spare time. Having lived and worked in various parts of the world, I love travelling; I am interested in world affairs and speak several languages, being fluent in French and Norwegian. Originally from Norway, I love the great outdoors and scandi ‘hygge’ and have enthusiastically passed this enjoyment on to my husband and children.
