Undergraduate Computer Games portfolios

If you’re applying for our BA Computer Games Art or BA Visual Effects, here’s some guidance on how to prepare your portfolio.

BA (Hons) Computer Games Art

We want to see preferably 10-15 pieces that best represent your work interests, and show your passion, engagement, and curiosity, as well as an open mind.

More specifically, we’re looking for:

  • any examples of your visual art (e.g. drawings from life, sketches, sculpting, photography etc)
  • evidence of how you tackle a project
  • research and development of ideas and thought processes
  • examples of experimentation with new materials, media, processes or methods.

BA (Hons) Visual Effects

We'd like to see a selection of your creative ideas and projects. It could be a digital portfolio that showcases your interests and skills in the areas of either art, creative media, creative coding/scripting, film, animation, gaming, or design. You'll be given the option to book a meeting to discuss this with us.
