BA Film and Television students win 4 out of 9 categories
Students from our BA (Hons) Film and Television course walked away with 4 out of 9 student categories in the Royal Television Society East 2020 awards.
This continues the success of students from the course in the awards, having won 6 out of 10 categories in 2019, and 3 out of 5 in 2018.
This year’s winners were:
- Best Drama: On the Ropes (Jake Mounteney, Mariana Vaz, Margarita Velentza, Joshua Panes)
- Best Factual: Tertiary Sound (Solomia Dzurovska, Luca Struijk, Cristi-Valeria Tomsa, Jared Guy)
- Craft Skills - Camerawork: On the Ropes (Margarita Velentza)
- Craft Skills - Sound: Tertiary Sound (Jared Guy)
Head of School Nigel Ward said: "This was a great achievement and the students paid tribute to their lecturers, Sophie Jackson, David Scott and Hans Petch who were all at the ceremony to support them, as were Shreepali (Patel) and I."
"Well done to all concerned for maintaining our strong run in these awards. Once again we won the most awards of any institution entered."
