Students on our dynamic BA (Hons) Fashion Design course explore techniques including traditional and creative pattern cutting and draping, print, surface textiles, 3D fashion, styling, and sustainability, creating a final collection to present at our annual degree show.
These skills not only prepare them for a career as a fashion designer, but for roles such as styling, buying, pattern cutting, and trend forecasting.
You can see work by recent graduating students on our Creative Showcase, including our Graduate Fashion Week project page, the Graduate Fashion Week website, or from 2020-2023 on our PastPresent showcase.
Since 2019, our 2nd year students have worked on a live project with the Portuguese denim brand Heavy Jeans. The primary focus of the project was to design a collection of sustainable products for their spring/summer 2022 campaign. Heavy Jeans has kindly dedicated space on their website to promote the project.
