Over 80 colleagues from across our University participated in this year’s TeachMeet which focussed on preparing our students for the workplace and lifelong learning in a changing world.
The keynote and micro presentations by guest and ARU speakers highlighted how ‘employability’ skills are being developed through the integration of teamwork, problem solving and critical thinking in our curricula.
The sessions were recorded on Zoom and are available to watch. They include examples of how different teaching methods – including the use of posters for assessment and Live Briefs – can provide more authentic learning experiences for our students helping them to apply their learning in preparation for their future careers.
Colleagues are invited to participate in our monthly ‘Employability in Practice’ webinars to continue to share insightful discussions and teaching ideas which help our students gain (and are aware that they’ve gained!) essential Graduate Capitals.
