New enhancing interaction and wellbeing workshops

Published: 16 March 2021 at 11:41

Two new workshops will be coming soon, prepared and presented by Jamie Heywood, the latest Academic Developer to join the Anglia Learning and Teaching team.

Creating a Buzz! 10 Ideas to Enhance Interaction in your Online Teaching will be held on 27 April from 13:00-14:00 on MS Teams.

Jamie says: “During the one-hour workshop we will be discussing how we can create more opportunities for interaction in our online teaching. We will be drawing on pedagogical frameworks such as active learning, games-based learning and team-based learning and share practical ideas we can use to contribute towards a stimulating learning environment.

“These include creating a virtual escape room, playing games such as Scattergories, team quizzes, and incorporating GIFs, emojis and memes to boost engagement.”

His second workshop is called: Promoting Happiness and Positive Wellbeing During Online Learning: Top Tips and Discussion. It will take place on 7 May from 13:00-14:00 on MS Teams.

This workshop will explore how to support and promote happiness and positive wellbeing during online learning, and cultivate a sense of belonging. Ideas and practical tips will be provided, alongside a collaborative discussion amongst attendees where best practice can be shared.
