Extension to ARU Awards submission deadlines

Published: 30 March 2020 at 16:22

We’ve extended the submission dates for this year’s Vice Chancellor’s Awards, ARU Associate Teaching Fellow, and Anglia Learning & Teaching Project Award scheme. This is due to our collective intensive focus on ensuring the smooth continuation of our support for our students’ learning and wellbeing.

We now require all applications for all of these awards to be submitted to line managers by 5pm on Friday 24 April 2020, and to staffawards@aru.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday 1 May 2020.

Now more than ever, ARU is keen to celebrate and reward your individual and team’s efforts to realise our mission of “Transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research.”

The Vice Chancellor’s Awards include three categories, each with a suite of awards to recognise colleagues who deliver: an outstanding and inclusive educational experience for our students; transformative research and innovation; impactful community engagement and leadership.

The Learning and Teaching Project Award Scheme is open to all individuals and teams involved in teaching and in supporting the student learning experience at ARU. You can bid for up to £3,500 to support a development and research project in 2020/21, which is designed to enhance our learning, teaching and assessment practice.  You are particularly encouraged to involve students as partners (rather than simply research assistants) in all aspects of your project work and its dissemination.

If you have successfully completed a Learning and Teaching Project since 2014, or have joined us from other institutions having successfully carried out, and published the findings of a funded pedagogic project, you are eligible to apply to become an ARU Associate Teaching Fellow.

Please find further guidance about submitting an application for the Vice Chancellor’s Awards, Learning & Teaching Project Award or the ARU Associate Teaching Fellow on the Anglia Learning & Teaching Awards web pages.
