Jacob et al. (1) analysed data from the Spanish National Health Survey 2017 to study the relationship between oral health and cancer. They found poorer oral health outcomes in participants with a history of cancer, and positive associations between several oral health outcomes as well as the number of poor oral health outcomes and cancer.
The cross-sectional association between diabetes and dental caries in Spanish adults was investigated in Jacob et al. (2). They found a positive and significant association between diabetes and dental caries, with a particularly strong relationship in women and adults aged ≤40 years.
Smith et al. (3) investigated the association of putative physical, behavioural, and social correlates with multiple suicide attempts among adolescents aged 12–15 years from 61 countries. The authors found that food insecurity, smoking, alcohol consumption, cannabis use, amphetamine use, sedentary behaviour, sexual intercourse, sleep problems, loneliness, no close friends, and bullying victimization were all independently associated with higher odds for multiple suicide attempts.
An explorative review by Pizzol et al. (4) assessed and compared the prevalence of erectile dysfunction (ED) in male healthcare workers and males during the COVID-19 pandemic. They found that the prevalence of ED in healthcare workers working in COVID-19 environments was higher than representative samples.
