A foundation year prepares you for the rest of your course, and focuses on general skills such as researching and referencing, numeracy and ICT, and communication. We'll also start to look at some more subject-specific topics.
We’ll assess your progress through a variety of methods, including coursework, group assignments, activity-based assignments and exams. You can expect to take part in ongoing problem-solving activities, projects and presentations. You’ll also be able to access support material through our virtual learning environment.

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM in a business-related subject.
International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points.
All applicants are required to have at least 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths.
If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.

Scholarships
We offer a £1,000 Entry Scholarship to new applicants at ARU London who have achieved:
144 (AAA) UCAS points, if you are from the UK/EU.
A+ grade or a minimum of 80% or GPA 5.0 in your A-Levels or equivalent qualifications, if you are an international student.
This scholarship will be taken off your first year’s fees.
We also have a scholarship for our Top Achievers. For this, we host an annual celebration of students with the greatest results from foundation year, Year 1 and Year 2 of study. These students receive £2,000 off their tuition fees for the following academic year.
