As a postgraduate student, you’ll learn to assess the individual needs of women and how to plan, implement and evaluate care that meets the need of mother, baby and family alike.
You’ll also recognise and respond to facts that affect the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of mothers and babies while developing essential problem solving skills.

Completing our MSc Higher Midwifery Practice gives you the potential to move into leadership positions in clinical settings, or follow a career in the fields of management, research and teaching.
If you choose to learn on campus, you’ll also have the option to complete the course with an additional qualification as a Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) practitioner.
