We’ve once again been named one of the top 40 universities in the UK and top 350 institutions in the world, in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.

In the 2023 rankings (released 12 October 2022), ARU is placed in the 301-350 category for the seventh year in a row and ranked 39th in the UK.

The annual lists rate more than 1,800 universities from 99 countries and regions, making it the largest and most diverse university ranking to date. The rankings are generated from five pillars – teaching, research, citations (research influence), industry income and international outlook.

This consistent performance is something we’re extremely proud of and is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff. It reflects the high standards we set for our teaching, the impact of our research and our collaborations with industry and international partners.
