The steps you will take

Our apprentice scheme starts with training as a Healthcare Support Worker while studying with ARU.
On successful completion of your care certificate, you will begin your studies on the Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship programme with ARU, which consists of one day per week for 20 months, either attending University, or working as a student in your clinical area. The remaining hours for that week will be spent working clinical shifts as a Healthcare Support Worker.
You will then have the option to apply for the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship programme, studying (on average) for two days per week for 22 months with the remaining hours being spent working as a Healthcare Support Worker.
At the end of the scheme, and upon successful completion of the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship programme, you will be able to apply for NMC registration as an adult Nurse, and apply for roles as a Band 5 Registered Nurse within the Trust.

This is an intensive but rewarding training programme requiring commitment, passion and, above all, care.

You will earn a salary as you learn, and all course fees are covered by the Trust.
