As an apprentice working in the industry, you will be in a unique position to put theory into practice on a regular basis. The Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship is ideally suited to those in the role of Assistant Project Manager, Junior Project Manager, or Project Support and will help to develop the knowledge and skills to contribute to the successful delivery of a project, in any sector, ensuring its scope and benefits are achieved as planned. As part of this, you will identify, resource, schedule and monitor activities that need to happen in a certain sequence and timescale.
An apprenticeship is a job with training, combining practical experience with academic learning.
At least 20% of your contracted working hours will be classed as 'off-the-job'. This time will be dedicated to developing the knowledge and skills needed to meet the requirements of the apprenticeship and therefore are not part of your usual work duties.
The course is delivered over 16 months through a mixture of face-to-face workshops at our Cambridge or Chelmsford campus, with on-the-job practical learning, and supported by additional online resources. The End Point Assessment could take up to a further five months.
You will be assessed at the end of each module you undertake (on-programme assessments) which will contribute towards the final award of your qualification.
You will also undertake an End Point Assessment (EPA) within the last 5 months on programme to complete your apprenticeship.
The EPA for this apprenticeship is independently assessed and takes place when all on-programme assessments have been successfully passed.
This apprenticeship aligns with the Association for Project Management for Associate membership.
