How to apply Come to an Open Day

Introduction

If you have a passion for animals and are interested in caring for animals, this course could be for you.

This one year study programme will provide you with the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours for progression into Level 2 programmes, apprenticeships as well as employment, at entry level, within the Animal Care sector.

During the course you will learn the fundamentals of caring for animals, including assisting with the movement and handling of animals, preparing and maintaining animal accommodation and aspects relating to global warming and climate change. You will also cover personal development and employment modules such as organisational skills, planning and carrying out research, time management and problem solving.

Hands-on learning

As a Conservation and Wildlife student at Writtle College you’ll:
