Introduction

If you have a passion for animals and are interested in caring for horses, this course could be for you.

The Level 2 Certificate in Skills for Professions in Horticulture, Environmental and Animal Care has been developed to provide a flexible approach to study, combining interactive vocational units with those designed to enhance learning and employability.

During this one year course, you will delve into a range of topics including animal health and welfare, and health and safety in an outdoor environment.

You’ll also get involved in practical elements, including providing food and water to animals, moving and handling animals and cleaning and maintaining animal accommodation.

Hands-on learning

Careers and educational progression

After completing this qualification, you could choose to continue your studies with a Technical Level 2 or Level 3 work base programme or find employment within the Equine Sector.
