Our Campus Sport programme is run by a team of Sport Activators each year. As a Sport Activator you'll help to coordinate various sports sessions, such as badminton, volleyball, table tennis and basketball; assist with promotion of sport around ARU; and undertake a sports leader qualification.

In the 2023/24 academic year, Team ARU will offer additional support to students at ARU who are looking to develop coaching or officiating skills.

All of our sports clubs are run by student committees. Committee members are elected annually at the club AGMs, usually in April, and positions include President, Captain, Kit and Equipment Officer and Communications Officer.
If you're interested in become a sports committee member, please speak to your club President who can give you more information.
Every year, Helmore Gym (Cambridge) and Mildmay Sports Centre (Chelmsford) employ students. You'll work on reception and in the facilities to make sure everyone has a positive experience and gets the most from their visit. Applications are currently closed.
ARU Students' Union runs a comprehensive sport volunteering programme for our students, involving coaching, event management and sports marketing. It's a fantastic way to get involved in your local community by promoting the values of healthy living, fitness and social inclusion.
