Co-ordinated by Cambridge School of Art Fine Art alumnus Jo Miller, our exciting Year 10 and Art & Design programme is run in the style of a foundation course, made up of three and four-week blocks of specialisms, taken from a range of subjects available to study at Cambridge School of Art.
Workshops are delivered by ARU students who are expert in their field, and masterclasses are delivered by expert academics and industry-leaders. Club members will explore subjects such as Drawing, Printmaking, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Animation, Photography and Fine Art.
They will also visit an art gallery, take part in national events such as Masterclasses, and exhibit their work nationwide at Cambridge School of Art and Somerset House.
Attending weekly sessions at the Cambridge School of Art gives young people the experience of studying creatively in a university setting, whilst using specialist facilities. The programme also provides an insight into the diverse education and job opportunities that can lead to exciting, future careers.
The Club is seeking members who are passionate about Art & Design and who are able to commit to attending every Saturday during term time!
We are still open for applications. For further enquiries, please contact [email protected]
Our Cambridge School of Art is once again teaming up with the National Saturday Club to deliver a bespoke programme of Art & Design workshops for Year 10 and students in and around Cambridge. Excitingly, Cambridge School of Creative Industries will also be offering a new Film & Media Club.
Running in parallel, both fully funded opportunities will see students complete a 20-week programme delivered by our expert academics, providing an insight into university-level study and career paths, and culminating in a celebratory exhibition of their work at Somerset House.
Students are welcome to apply for both clubs, but if successful, would only be awarded a place on one.
"My daughter has made good friends, had fantastic experiences and has grown socially, emotionally, and academically as a result of the Saturday Club."
"Saturday Club? Well, it’s the highlight of the week, isn’t it?"
