Ronak teaches Computer Networks and Cyber Security, with specialist areas in network routing, switching, and security. Her research interests include software defined networks (SDN), traffic performance and quality of service (QoS).
Ronak graduated with a BSc degree in Software Engineering, and MSc in Computer Science. Being interested in computer networking and new technologies, she pursued her PhD in software defined network (SDN).
Ronak has been an active academic and researcher for more than six years, focusing mainly on developing new frameworks and algorithms to improve traffic performance and quality of service (QoS) issues like bottlenecks and congestion in network traffic communication based SDN-slicing networks.
Her research was focused on SDN network management and queueing, network slicing, network function virtualisation (NFV), novel data statistical analysis strategies, multimedia applications classification and scheduling, and more recently testing QoS parameters and security in machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and 5G and 6G network technology.
Ronak is a member of our Cyber Security and Networking Research Group, where she is in charge of supervising several undergraduate and MSc dissertations.
