Background

Ronak graduated with a BSc degree in Software Engineering, and MSc in Computer Science. Being interested in computer networking and new technologies, she pursued her PhD in software defined network (SDN).

Ronak has been an active academic and researcher, focusing mainly on developing new frameworks and algorithms to improve traffic performance and quality of service (QoS) issues like bottlenecks and congestion in network traffic communication based SDN-slicing networks.

Her research was focused on SDN network management and queueing, network slicing, network function virtualisation (NFV), novel data statistical analysis strategies, multimedia applications classification and scheduling, and more recently testing QoS parameters and security in machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and 5G and 6G network technology. She is a member of the Royal Society’s International Exchanges Committee from January 2024 to December 2026. The Royal Society provides grants and fellowships for outstanding scientific researchers in the UK and internationally. Her role as a member of the committees panel is to play an integral role in the assessment of applications for Royal Society grants and fellowships and ensure that the Royal Society continues to fund excellence in scientific research. She is also a member of the IEEE and the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IEEE IES).

Ronak was appointed as an Ambassador for the Women-in-IES program in 2024
