Kate is the Institute Manager at the Global Sustainability Institute (GSI). She works with GSI’s Director, staff, students and partners to support the smooth running of the GSI and its projects.  She is an experienced project manager, communicator, researcher, educator and administrator.

Background

Kate has worked across industries and organisations as diverse as local radio, the printing industry, the software industry and primary education.  To change her career and change the world, she undertook an MSc Sustainability in 2021. 

After completing the MSc she worked on various projects within in the Global Sustainability Institute and School of Life Sciences including Critical and Relational Pedagogies in Higher Education; Education for Sustainability; PLACE (Public and Local Association with Cambridge’s Energy) Transition Project and The Social and Ecological Impacts of Borealisation of the Arctic.

Kate is interested in rewilding, nature-based solutions and nature-human connections.
