Background

As a published illustrator, Karin has published several picture books, including The Art and Life of Hilma af Klint (Thames & Hudson), My First Orchestra Book (Naxos), and Kids Yoga. Her work often involves partnerships with academics and institutions such as Moderna Museet Stockholm, Centre for Family Research, and Cambridge Botanic Garden.

Passionate about illustration as an ever-evolving discipline, Karin fosters an environment where students are encouraged to push creative boundaries and develop their own unique voices.

Before transitioning into higher education, Karin worked within the contemporary art scene, including as Director of Delfina Studio Trust in London, the UK’s largest international residency programme. There, she was deeply engaged in a global network of artists and creative discussions, curating exhibitions and leading international exchange programmes.
