Dr Hussein Adebayo Ibrahim is the Course Director and the Distance Learning Coordinator for the MSc in Project Management course in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. He is a cross-disciplinary scholar with experience in the construction industry, research, and teaching.

Hussein currently teaches modules in project management, civil and construction project management, engineering management and construction project management. His research cuts across circular construction, modern method of construction (MMC), concrete technology, construction project management and sustainability in the built environment.
He joined the School of Engineering and the Built Environment at ARU as a Senior Lecturer in 2023. Before joining ARU, Hussein worked as a construction project manager and a postdoctoral research fellow in Nigeria and Malaysia respectively. He was awarded a doctoral degree in construction technology and management by the University of Malaya in 2018. He also holds an MSc in construction management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and a BSc in civil and environmental engineering from University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Hussein has several years of work and research experience in construction technology and management. He has published book chapters and articles in esteemed journals.
Hussein has taught the following modules at postgraduate levels: project management systems, project management context, research design and methods, management theory.
