Gemma has experience in leading several curriculum areas in the primary education sector as well as extensive experience teaching across the primary age range. She enjoys sharing her expertise in education alongside maintaining her classroom practice through her position of Senior Lecturer Practitioner for Education.

Background

Gemma has been teaching full time since 2010. During her teaching career, Gemma has had experience of teaching pupils from across the primary Key Stages which has given her an excellent understanding of children’s educational journey.

In addition to teaching in primary schools across Cambridgeshire, Gemma has worked closely with a range of educational professionals, including: special needs professionals, governors and education advisors. She has built a secure professional network with links to schools in and around Cambridgeshire and continues to act as a governor at a local primary school.

Gemma’s research interests link closely to her work in primary schools and to the courses she teaches on. She has a wealth of experience teaching these areas in primary schools and University.
