Gabi’s current research aims to look at military migration in the UK through a decolonial lens, suggesting practical tools to generate change. Her research interests include migration, decoloniality, gender, narrative and the politics of place.

Previously, Gabi's research has focused on the affective dimensions of literary geographies in historical fiction novels; micro-entrepreneurship and social class ascension; and perspectives of biofuel production using photosynthetic microalgae.
