Abigail said:

“Living and working in Cambridge I am aware of the standing that Anglia Ruskin has in the city and in particular its work with partners and business. Having worked closely with educational institutions in the past, I am delighted to be able to bring that experience to the Board.”

Sian Williams also lives in Cambridge and has extensive financial regulatory and compliance experience in the public and private sectors, both in the UK and abroad. She has spent the last 12 years with Lloyds Bank PLC, working in several head office roles. Her current position is Director of Accountability and Investigations.

Before joining Lloyds, Sian spent 10 years at the Bank of England and Financial Services Authority supervising a range of banking and securities businesses. She has a Masters in Finance from the London Business School and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Warwick.

Sian, who is married with two young daughters, said:

“This is an exciting time to be joining Anglia Ruskin with its recent inclusion in the Times Higher Education World Rankings, and its nomination for a Lloyds Bank National Business Award. I look forward to adding my contribution to the organisation ahead of its 25th birthday in 2017.”
