Setting the record straight

There has been some inaccurate reporting in the media this week regarding a former student and her case that has never been upheld.

Much of the reporting has failed to make clear that the courts have repeatedly rejected her claims.  Many reports have also incorrectly stated that we agreed to make a payment to the student in settlement of her claim.

Our insurer has published a statement confirming that Anglia Ruskin did not authorise any settlement to the student.  They confirm that the litigation was settled by them for purely commercial reasons, without prior reference to, or the agreement of, Anglia Ruskin.  They confirm that Anglia Ruskin would not have agreed to the settlement offer if we had been aware of it before it was issued.
