Festival of Cultures celebrates global diversity at Anglia Ruskin University

A free festival to celebrate different cultures from all over the world is being held in Chelmsford later this month.

Anglia Ruskin University will host its inaugural Festival of Cultures, a free event which will introduce the public to sights, sounds and tastes from all over the world, at its Chelmsford campus on Saturday, 18 November.

Activities include an African drumming workshop, Chinese lion dancing, Italian pasta jewellery, the art of Wycinanki, which is Polish paper cutting, and many more.

Rachel Moss, Public Engagement Officer for Anglia Ruskin University, said:

“It is always fascinating to learn from other cultures, and this event aims to bring a touch of the exotic to a November day in Chelmsford.

“We have sourced fascinating activities which everyone can enjoy and we are looking forward to once again welcoming the public to our Chelmsford campus.”

The event, which runs from 10am until 2pm, is one of several free cultural events being offered by Anglia Ruskin University in Essex over the coming weeks. For further details about this event and others taking place throughout the year, visit anglia.ac.uk/communityevents

This event is recommended for people aged 10 and over.
