Join ARU's Medical Technology Research Centre (MTRC) for an online seminar from Dr Stephen Hughes about the development in his ARU lab of simple devices for measuring respiratory rate that may be deployed in a range of settings.
Stephen qualified from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in 1990. He subsequently took up various training posts in surgery and emergency medicine, then spent ten years in the British Army working as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine.
He is now a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, on a long term secondment from the NHS to teach in ARU's School of Medicine.
His research concerns technological solutions for the measurement of respiratory rate.
