Alumni Board

Our Alumni Board is a group of ARU staff and alumni, formed to provide a link between graduates and the University.

Anglia Ruskin alumni are members of a global community of over 100,000 graduates. Working closely with the Alumni Office, the Board supports, provides advice, monitors and comments on the effectiveness of the University’s alumni engagement programme.

Image of Paul Bogle

Paul Bogle, Secretary & Clerk

Paul Bogle is our University Secretary & Clerk.  His responsibilities include governance (corporate and information), legal and company matters, risk management, security, visa compliance and student complaints.

Paul joined Anglia Ruskin in January 2017.  He has over a decade of senior management experience at performing a similar role at Canterbury Christ Church University since they acquired university title in 2005.  

Having gained an LLB from Bristol University he qualified as a Barrister in 1995.  Paul originally practised as a family lawyer before gaining experience in governance, employment law and education at Essex County Council based in Chelmsford.  

His HE sector networks include being the representative of ARU on the Association of Heads of University Administration and membership of the UCEA Health & Safety Committee and the Association of University Legal Practitioners.

Paul became an active member of the Alumni Board effective from March 2017.

Michelle Keaney, Alumni

BA (Hons) Business and Management, 2004
Faculty of Business and Law, Chelmsford

Listed as one of the Observer’s Future 500, Michelle is acknowledged as one of the most talented leaders shaping industry. Her career is a mix of business and consumer sales and marketing which saw her leading a major retail drive for The Walt Disney Company, establishing the UK Marketing Capability function for Heineken and co-founding award-winning social enterprise Inventing Futures. Michelle graduated from Anglia Ruskin in 2004 with a BA (Hons) in Business and Management and won our Young Alumni of the Year Award in 2016. Michelle joined our Alumni Board in March 2017.

Jukka Aminoff, Alumni

MA Marketing and Innovation, 2012

Jukka is our Alumni Ambassador for Finland and became a panel member of our Alumni Board in 2016. He is an entrepreneur, author and advisor. He has founded UHNWI Luxury Events and Luxury Sales Academy and is a founding member of The Mark Challenge Entrepreneurship Club, which is powered by The International University of Monaco. He has written Luxury: How to create a fascinating luxury brand (2015), Social Selling Luxury: Increase sales by engaging in the digital world (2016), Sales: Giving is love (2020), and Modern Luxury: How to navigate in the new world of luxury.

Jukka is a Fellow of The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) in London, and an advisor for The Royal Commonwealth Society Nordic-Baltic Hub and The British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland. He has other advisory positions as well in Helsinki, Cambridge and London.

Aneela Rose, Alumni

Aneela is the Managing Director of the Rose Media Group Ltd., an agency that works with companies to deliver PR, social media and digital and web support.

Image of Daryl Brown

Daryl Brown, Alumni

Daryl is our Success in Business 2016 winner and became a panel member of our Alumni Board in 2016.

Daryl is the Chief Executive of Magpas Air Ambulance, an emergency medical charity that provides enhanced care at serious emergency medical incidents. Daryl has been a Governor at Cambridge University Hospitals since 2010 and served as Lead Governor from 2012-2014, Daryl also served as lay Representative on the Intercollegiate Board for Training in Pre Hospital Emergency Medicine. Daryl was elected to Huntingdonshire District Council in May 2015 and is Executive Councillor for strategic partnerships and shared services. Additionally, Daryl serves as the Mayor of Huntingdon, elected May 2016.
