Air conditioning contributes to 3% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. The UK Government has a target of 600,000 installations of heat pumps per year by 2028 and 72,000 were installed in 2022. There are challenges in meeting the target but also opportunities for the growth of a green economy.

In this free talk, our speaker Craig Dolan, Chair of the UK Heat Pump Association, will explore issues and opportunities. Craig will also host a Q&A at the end of the talk.

This event is supported by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Institute of Engineering Technologies, and Chelmsford Science and Engineering Society. It's presented as part of the Chelmsford Science Festival.
