Keeping ARU safe

We're working hard to limit coronavirus transmission and keep our campuses safe. Part of that work includes identifying, isolating and supporting anyone who does test positive.

We continue to be guided by our commitment to education and research and to the health and safety of our community.

As a University, and as individuals, we can all play a role in preventing the spread of infection and helping to keep ARU safe. We're doing this by following:

Latest data

We update this page at 1pm every Monday, with data from the previous week.

The figures below are for newly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases reported to the University in the week ending Sunday 18 July 2021.

Number of positive cases at ARU

  • 5 in Cambridgeshire
  • 3 in Essex

The data shares information collated as part of our COVID-19 notification protocols. It covers staff and students who are working, living or studying on campus in Cambridge and Peterborough (listed as Cambridgeshire) and Chelmsford (listed as Essex).

Some of our students opted to study online during the academic year 2020-2021, so were learning remotely. And, to help keep our campuses safe, most of our staff have been working from home where possible. Any cases that are reported in these populations will not be included in the data presented. When staff and students are on campus, we continue to keep our community safe and help reduce the chance of transmission by asking everyone to continue to wear face coverings, continue to practice good hand hygiene, to keep left when moving around campus and respect each other's personal space.
