Impact and growth

Business support

In 2023, Arise supported nearly 2,000 businesses through internships, training, research, and collaborative programmes. This number is only set to grow in the coming years.

Business success

Karen, a member of Arise, collaborates with an Australian-based organisation called Activating Probiotics. Using her Arise office space, she has successfully stocked their products and built networks, helping the company establish a UK presence.

"Arise… has given me the physical space and the head space to be able to contribute to projects... The office space has made me look more professional. I wouldn’t have been able to host Activating Probiotics when they visited without it. It’s allowed me to contribute and help another company, enabling Activating Probiotics to grow into the UK."

Karen, Arise member

We’re excited to continue supporting businesses across Harlow and Chelmsford to start, scale, and succeed with the help of Arise Innovation Hubs.

"Our presence on the Harlow Innovation Park represents a launchpad for ideas, entrepreneurs and start-up companies. We will be an integral part of building on the existing strengths of this region, which include life sciences, advanced manufacturing and digital technology."

Roderick Watkins, ARU Vice Chancellor
