ARU is delighted to support this year’s virtual Mill Road Winter Fair and Mill Road Lanterns Trail.
As well as online events featuring local performers, artists, organisations and charities you can visit the street to see ten stunning community lanterns, representing ten local roads, hosted by ten of Mill Road’s independent shops. Follow the Mill Road Lantern Trail (trail map designed by ARU alumna Anna Betts) to discover the stories, ideas and images behind the lanterns and more about Mill Road’s buildings, history and culture.
ARU has taken part in Mill Road Winter Fair for many years.
We have enjoyed being part of this fantastic local community fair for many years and want to share our Mill Road Winter Fair story in pictures.
Together with local artists, alumni and colleagues at ARU we have presented ‘STOMP’ parades, along with Bollywood and Scottish country dancing workshops. We have showcased harmony choruses and big bands, and presented puppet shows and children’s dance and drama performances. We have hosted exhibitions for artists, run hands-on science activities and much more. Scroll down to see our Mill Road Winter Fair story in picture.
We continue to closely monitor the rapidly evolving situation around coronavirus (COVID-19). So we can best protect the health and wellbeing of all members of the community we are suspending many public-facing events on campus until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
