From Fourex to Klatch and Llamedos to Genua there’s a swilling miscellany of gender, race, culture, species, dead and undead. From Dwarfs and their ‘Campaign for Equal Heights’ to Reg Shoe’s ‘Fresh Start Club’ for Zombies, the Discworld novels observe evolving notions of the acceptance (or not) of ‘other’. Keenly unpicking the complexities of inclusion, the venerated Sir Terry Pratchett provides an implicit challenge to the ways in which we think about the delicate value of difference.

Join Dr Terri Simpkin for a Pratchett quote-packed discussion about diversity, inclusion and Discworld.
