The fashion industry has to change. This realisation is nowhere more apparent than within elements of the industry itself. From sustainable material innovation to circular economy principles, the fashion industry of the future will look very different.
Sarah Strachan is an artist, marketing professional, and researcher with a passion for sustainability. She will be speaking about the impact of fashion on the environment, and the need for innovation within the industry.
Bruno Dias Coehlo is a textiles based designer and recent graduate from ARU’s Fashion Design course. He will discuss some of his own research into the importance of fashion and identity, and why brands are seeking to become more sustainable.
They will conclude by discussing what the future of fashion could look like.
