Chelmsford campus

A purple speech bubble with the words 'Let's talk about dementia' inside of it

Home is more than a building. It's a space to which we attach a deep emotional layer of special meaning, memory and importance. And it supports our wellbeing.

The loss of your home, or major adjustment, in senior years is highly emotional. Developers have been creating housing with age-friendly design for 30 years specifically to solve this problem. The public however have little awareness of this design standard and the flexibility it can provide.

These properties are now part of our housing stock and are known as Lifetime Homes (LTH). This presentation will explain the concept of Lifetime Homes and what questions to ask your chartered surveyor when seeking to buy this type property. You will learn how the clever design features can assist you as you grow older, making your home accessible, safe and secure.
