Thanks in part to Extinction Rebellion, Greta Thunberg and the Climate Strikes, public demand for action on the climate and environment emergency has surged to unprecedented levels.
For the first time ever, a majority of voters is saying the climate crisis will affect how they vote. This is why Extinction Rebellion has organised a non-selective hustings focused on the climate and environment emergency for the constituency of Cambridge. It gives voters a chance to hear Cambridge candidates explain their parties' plans to tackle the emergency. And it also gives you a chance to ask probing questions about those plans.
Terry Macalister, former energy editor for The Guardian, will chair the panel discussion.
The venue has wheelchair access and there is padded seating. There are around 15 parking-meter spaces on Broad Street, next to our campus. Blue Badge parking is available on Bradmore Street: please pre-book by calling 01245 686464. There is a gender neutral, accessible toilet.
