Download the Family Science Day programme
The day will run from 10am-4pm. Please arrive within the time slot you have booked; you're then welcome to stay for as long as you like.
On arrival, please make your way to your favourite activity. There is no need to check in or register.
Due to our sustainability pledge we won’t be handing out printed programmes on the day so please ensure you have access to the programme on a mobile device.
A range of food outlets will be open on campus during the day. Please note that we are a cashless campus.
There are lots of other exciting events happening during the Chelmsford Science Festival, which runs 12-18 October. Take a look at the full programme.
Have you booked your ticket to the Gaia exhibition at Chelmsford Cathedral?
See Travelling to our Chelmsford campus for more information about how to find us.
Please be aware that there is no parking on campus except for Blue Badge holders. However, there are more than 5,000 spaces in local car parks. Chelmsford Borough Council has more information about parking in the city.
Chelmsford has two Park and Ride sites with a regular bus service to and from the city.
Chelmer Valley Park and Ride: buses run straight through our campus. On Monday to Friday, buses run approximately every ten minutes from 7am-5pm, then every 12 minutes until 7pm, then a reduced service with the last bus leaving campus at 9.15pm. Buses also run on Saturdays, though please note that the Saturday service is currently under consultation (January 2019). We recommend double-checking the Chelmer Valley timetable before you travel.
Sandon Park and Ride: buses stop on campus throughout the day except for short periods of time in the morning and early evening (7.33am-8.38am, and 4.11pm-5.52pm), when they stop in the city centre.
