The Mifune Tsuji Trio – Mifune Tsuji on violin, Jin Theriault on saxophone and Paul Jackson on piano – present a concert of duo and trio music for this unusual combination of instruments.

The programme includes Darius Milhaud’s sunny Suite for Violin, Saxophone and Piano alongside the trio’s own arrangement of Camille Saint-Saëns famous Danse Macabre. The jazz-inflected Hot Sonata, by Erwin Schulhoff, is paired with the Concert Piece for Violin and Piano by Hungarian composer, Matyas Seiber. The concert concludes with the trio’s new arrangement of Chau Paris, but the Argentinian tango composer, Astor Piazzolla. 

This is a recorded concert which you can view anytime during the festival, 26 March - 4 April.
