Common Knowledge is not just what everyone knows, but what everyone knows that everyone knows etc. It is that which we can take for granted in our reasoning and interactions with others.
Dr Mike Wilby, Anglia Ruskin University, draws on a variety of sources from psychology, political theory and philosophy, he explains what Common Knowledge is, why it such a central aspect of our lives, why it is required for a thriving society and why the current political and social climate puts it at risk.
The event is part of Cambridge Festival 2021.
